Yesterday was my first time brewing beer! Okay, mostly watching my dad brew, but that still counts? We made an imperial stout that will be aged in a whiskey cask come February, and be ready by summer kick off! I don’t know if you know this.. But whiskey aged beers are one of my absolute favorites.
I have to admit that brewing wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be; being meticulous and making sure the measurements, temperature and timing is correct seemed to be the most challenging, but I got to really learn first hand what fly sparging was and the difference in hops! I really can’t wait until I get to pick out a recipe myself and have my dad help me create my first masterpiece.
