I like to think I enjoy the finer things in life: beer events, drinking beer, writing about it and, did I mention, drinking it?! Well luckily for me and those around Washington, we get to experience all the finest brews in all the land this June! Father’s Day Weekend (hint: take your dad) will host the 11th Annual Brewers Fest at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington.
So, what’s the big deal?! Well.. 110 breweries equalling 500 different beer, some pretty awesome food trucks/vendors, cider, wine & even a rootbeer garden! Since the event is family friend Saturday & Sunday, there will also be a playground for your little tikes. New this year there will be a beer run for you overachievers on Sunday at 10:00 am; if you’re one of those crazy folks, registration for the run includes an event tee, bottle opener, extra tasting tokens AND bragging rights.
Working for a brewery that just so happens to be attending the fest means I’m headed out there Friday (which some insiders say may be the best day) to snag a press pass and absorb all the awesomeness, but won’t be there the rest of the weekend. So look for me roaming around Friday, and let’s make some new beer friends! And also drink and be responsible, I hear uber & lyft will trade rides for monies! Cheers Xx
