When I lived in Seattle, it seemed like a bottle shop and taproom could be found on any block, or at least in every neighborhood. So living out in Kirkland has me going a bit stir-crazy! While you can find great beers at the grocery store, my Untappd inventory reminds me that I’ve gone through the whole lot of ’em.
West Seattle feels like it’s eight years away; seriously, I have to jump on three different freeways then wind my way in to West Seattle Junction- Seattle traffic is no joke! But once I got to the Beer Junction, I immediately started brainstorming excuses to drive down to West Seattle in the future.
I heard about The Beer Junction from another beer writer in Seattle and I finally had the chance to go check it out! And hats off to tap rooms that updates their tap list live, because that’s 56 taps that rotate literally all the time. Their taps include a Hops! section, Light & Medium Bodied, On The Dark Side, Ciders, Rare & Odd, Mead & Wine and even some draft soda; you literally could find something for anyone’s taste buds. On top of all their taps, they offer a selection of 1,300+ beers, over 200 beers and 50 meads & sakes. You know that feeling you got as a kid and you walked in to a candy store? Well, this is the adult version of that. I’d say it’s comparable to Chuck’s Hop Shop in Greenwood, but with a West Seattle vibe.
Along with pints, they offer growler fills and even crowlers! Being apart of their mailing list also allows you to have access to upcoming brewers nights, new arrivals and other special events; basically they will send you a newsletter with all things beer that you won’t want to miss out on! I should be wondering down there any day, so let’s grab some pints!
